The mission of CHP Colorado (also known as Northwest Colorado Firearms Training) is to provide the highest level of experience-driven training to citizens wishing to obtain a Colorado concealed handgun permit (CHP.)

    Our actual training is done in a relaxed, safety oriented and informative atmosphere, designed to quickly build student competency. The intent of our course is to enhance our students' abilities to make fast, correct survival decisions within today's reality of close quarters contact with an adversary or a potential adversary.

    We come to the table with a proven track record of 12+ years of satisfied students, of which approximately 40% are ladies.

 

    Our course content includes 150-200 rounds of live fire practice exercises in various atmospheres. These range from rapid handgun presentations, movement, positional shooting, dim light to no-light shooting, reloading and malfunction clearing plus many others, all taught with an emphasis on student safety.
